Speakers

Chris Maloney is the Director of Business Development and Managing Director of US Operations at VPIphotonics. He has a Masters of Science in Microelectronic Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Messiah University, and is currently President of the Rochester Section of OPTICA.

Director of Business Development at VPIphotonics

Michael Geiselmann (President & CCO) studied physics and engineering at University Stuttgart and Ecole Centrale Paris. After his PhD at ICFO in Barcelona in 2014 he joined the laboratory of Prof. Kippenberg at EPFL in Lausanne, where he advanced frequency comb generation on integrated silicon nitride chips towards applications and was involved in several international research projects. In 2016, he co-founded LIGENTEC and brought the company to the international stage of photonic integration.

Business Development Manager at Vario Optics
Research Associate/Project Manager at Fraunhofer HHI
Chief Regional Officer & Head of FEMTOprint Neuchâtel at Femtoprint

Dr. Hektor Meier obtained his PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in 2011. Shortly after he became a member of the product development team of Enablence Switzerland and later Albis Optoelectronics. He was responsible for the development of ultra high speed InGaAs PIN and avalanche photodiodes. Since 2016 he acts as Head of Product Development at Albis and is in charge of the technology development and expansion of the product portfolio.

Head of Product Development at Albis Optoelectronics
Director of Sales and Marketing at Vector Photonics

Tobias Gnausch is product manager at Jenoptik. He is responsible for the ‘UFO Probe® card technology, an electro-optical probe card for PIC wafer-level testing. He joined Jenoptik as an optical designer for diffractive optical elements and systems. He also worked for Bosch as a mechanical engineer and developer for interferometric stylus measurement systems. Tobias studied technical physics and holds several patents in the field of testing as well as micro-optics.
