In this Online Technology Meeting on Photonics for Quantum Computers we’ll discuss the interplay between photonics and the quantum realm. Participants will discuss the role of Photonics in Quantum Computing, focusing on the new developments necessary, such as programmable PICs, single photon detectors, manipulation of single photons or co-packaging. And the discussion will explore state of the art quantum information processing technologies. Explore practical applications, from quantum cryptography to quantum simulations, and discover how photonics is accelerating the development of quantum computers poised to revolutionize industries and scientific discovery.
Dr. Stefan Spaelter works with TOPTICA Photonics AG since close to 4 years and leads the Product Management team for TOPTICA’s Quantum Technology products, including highly coherent tunable diode laser systems, frequency combs and locking electronics.
Simone Cardarelli is originally from Italy. He completed his bachelor's and master's studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of L'Aquila, Italy, by graduating cum laude in both academic courses. He has obtained his PhD degree in Photonic Integration at the Eindhoven University of Technology within the Electro-Optical Communication group. His PhD project was about optical fiber-to-chip connection for which he generated results presented at relevant international scientific conferences.
Simone is the full-time CEO and co-founder of MicroAlign BV since April 2021.
