Description of the projects

PhotonHub Europe has established a unique European full-service one-stop-shop Photonics Innovation Hub in a manner that is deeply rooted within the wider ecosystem of innovation hubs and manufacturing right across the European continent for maximum coverage, leverage, impact and long-term sustainability.

RETINA is a groundbreaking initiative that marks a new era in photonic-based sensory systems. Our mission is to revolutionize the fields of healthcare, automotive, and agriculture through advanced photonics. RETINA aims to create a holistic framework for the development of next-generation hardware and software solutions, including innovative LIDAR solutions and CMOS imaging technologies. Our goal is to integrate these advancements with cutting-edge Machine Learning Perception, ensuring our solutions are agile, efficient, and tailored to the high-value, customized needs of our key industries. At RETINA, we’re not just developing technology; we’re shaping the future.

The JePPIX Pilot Line is on the lookout for PIC developers that are ready to bring a PIC-enabled product to market. By making use of their software, design, foundry and testing services, you can take your proof-of-concept circuit into production. And guess what? They’re here to help you every step of the way.

PHABULOuS is the European one-stop shop for the manufacturing of free-form micro-optics offering accelerated innovation & production cycles from prototypes to piloting and large volume production.

The PhotonMed project advances photonics technologies for innovative medical devices. The application relevance of the PhotonMed research and its quality are validated in 16 pilot-cases led by the end-user companies. Based on the pilot-cases, industrial supply chains are defined for the concepts of the end-user companies reducing substantially the time-to-market. Technologies developed in PhotonMed will be appended also to the pilot line offering making them available to all companies outside PhotonMed via open access policy.

Lasers4MaaS combines cutting-edge Lasers-as-a-Service technology with dynamic beam shaping and a digital manufacturing platform to transform manufacturing industries. Our solutions drive flexible, sustainable, and high-precision production, revolutionizing how industries like automotive, aerospace, food packaging, and renewable energy operate.
