EPIC Online Technology Meeting on Mid-IR Technologies for Environmental Monitoring (in cooperation with MidIR Alliance)
Online Event

In cooperation with

Photonic developments on the Mid-IR region (2.5um-15um) have demonstrated high potential for gas sensing and spectroscopy providing the environmental monitoring industry with a large range of new and exciting applications. Air quality analysis to fight climate change, real-time water quality control to identify contaminants before it is consumed, and detection of harmful leaks are some of the possibilities of this technology. Regulation of the concentration of greenhouse gases, such as CO2Β and CH4, particularly released from vehicles and industrial exhausts as well as from the livestock sector is becoming more important due to the climate emergency, existing a consensus about the use of Mid-IR technologies to monitor them. In this meeting, the entire supply chain for the development of Mid-IR based sensor will answer the requests and challenges coming from the end-users of the technology, focusing on new applications for the environmental sector.
Spirit of the meetings

During these online technology meetings, we are looking for the challenges the industry is facing and bringing together the entire supply chain to address these challenges. Bringing together end-users with component suppliers and system integrators that will answer the EPIC questionΒ β€œWhat can you do for them and what can they do for you” creates the perfect foundation to establish new business relationships and find ways for new collaborations and partnerships.

Speakers

Currently, she works on tunable mid-wave infrared filters and photon sieve telescope lenses for NASA science missions. In the fields of materials, renewable energy, optics, she authored or co-authored over 70 technical papers, book chapters, NASA invention disclosures, and patents.

Associate Research Fellow at NASA / National Institute of Aerospace
CEO at nanoplus

World-renowned expert in III-V materials manufacturing. Pioneered the research on QWIP Infrared sensor design and manufacturing, technology that is still today deployed in major European defense programs.

CTO at IRnova

Oleg co-founded MIRO Analytical in 2018 where he developed the first commercial high-precision 10-gas analyzer to measure the most relevant green-house gases and pollutants. As a CTO he pushes limits of what is possible in the MIR laser-based gas analysis to solve customer’s problems.
