Photonics has experienced remarkable growth and innovation in recent years, but this rapid expansion has brought about a significant challenge: a shortage of skilled talent. At EPIC, we consider a collaborative approach as a potential solution, because the competition for talent extends beyond photonics to other industries. That’s why we have the EPIC HR Workgroup Meetings, which meet to debate specific challenges that the people operations professionals in the photonics industry are facing. We also organize the online sessions Discover Your Career in Photonics to attract young talent into this industry. We want to take the opportunity that most of us will be exhibiting in Munich to have an informal coffee break that will facilitate networking and therefore foster new collaborations!
