This quarterly online workshop series aims to strengthen photonics manufacturing in Europe by bringing EPIC members together to share expertise, identify common challenges, and develop practical solutions. Each one-hour session will focus on a different aspect of efficient manufacturing, including production processes, manufacturing equipment, quality control, industrialization, and the transition from laboratory prototypes to volume production. The series will encourage closer cooperation between design and manufacturing companies, support European supply chains, and facilitate new partnerships among EPIC members. Topics will be selected according to the most relevant manufacturing needs of the European photonics industry.

The first workshop will focus on the strategic decision between in-house and outsourced manufacturing. Two experienced speakers will discuss how companies can determine which activities to retain internally, how to select suitable manufacturing partners, and how to build trusted and successful collaborations.
