EPIC TechSession at W3+Fair
Jena, Germany
In cooperation with

Precision optics is at a strategic inflection point. Artificial intelligence, hyperscale data centers, quantum technologies, defense systems, and advanced sensing are creating unprecedented demand for optical innovation. At the same time, they are reshaping global industrial value chains.

This panel brings together leaders from across the optics ecosystem to discuss the forces redefining the industry. Topics include the shift toward demanding VIS, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR applications, as well as advances in micro-optics, precision positioning, advanced materials, photonic integration, and high-performance metrology. The discussion will focus on the technologies that will drive the next decade of growth.

Beyond technology, the panel will address a critical strategic question: How can Europe strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive global landscape? Key topics include scaling manufacturing capacity, securing critical supply chains, accelerating the path from innovation to production, and building a resilient optics ecosystem.
The goal is clear: to ensure Europe remains a global leader in the technologies that will shape future economic growth, industrial competitiveness, and security.

The panel session will take place on 24 September morning, at W3+ Jena trade fair. This Panel Session is free of charge for those who have W3 + Fair tickets, which you can get on the W3 website or ask us to provide.
