EPIC SUMMIT features:

• EPIC SUMMIT Conference: brings together 300–500 industry CEOs from around the world. The programme addresses key topics in the photonics industry, including markets, applications, and technology, while being fully designed as an international networking event for photonics leaders.
• EPIC SUMMIT Problem Pitching: 48 integrators and end users (6 speakers across 8 short sessions) present concrete challenges they are facing. Attendance is strictly limited to exhibitors, ensuring that presenting companies can share openly without competitors in the room. Participants are typically CTO-level or experienced technology experts, bringing the creativity and expertise needed to collectively explore solutions. The sessions are free to attend but restricted to exhibitors, keeping the audience to around 100 participants.
• EPIC SUMMIT Application Forum: 48 integrators and end users (6 speakers across 8 short sessions) present how they use photonics, outlining their applications, general needs, and future technology requirements. The sessions are open to all participants attending the EPIC SUMMIT Exhibition.
• EPIC SUMMIT Exhibition Table-Tops: Limited to 112 companies, the exhibition table-tops are available exclusively to EPIC members and include a standard decorated turnkey booth of 5 sqm, ensuring a high-quality showcase of photonics technology providers. Access to the exhibition floor is by invitation only, mainly for EPIC members, photonics integrators, and end-users.

The overall event is designed to efficiently connect photonics leaders with one another, as well as photonics experts with their customers. The goal is to advance technology, address industry challenges, expand applications, and ultimately drive business growth

The EPIC SUMMIT is organized by EPIC (European Photonics Industry Consortium), a non-profit association of over 830 member companies dedicated to strengthening the competitiveness of the European photonics industry.

Date & Location

The EPIC SUMMIT takes place every two years, with the next edition scheduled for 28–29 June 2028. It is set to remain permanently in Munich, Germany, establishing “June in Munich” as a key calendar moment for the global photonics community to engage with Europe’s photonics ecosystem.
