EPIC Meeting on Sustainability: Measuring Sustainability Actions
Online Event

Photonics has the potential to significantly contribute to a more sustainable world by supporting renewable energy, improving measurement and monitoring technologies, and reducing environmental impacts. At the same time, it is essential for photonics companies to integrate sustainable practices into their operations — not only to address climate change but also to promote community well-being, economic resilience, and long-term industry growth. Our Workgroup is dedicated to inspiring and guiding both beginner and advanced member companies in adopting sustainability practices. We focus on broad sustainability factors, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and economic stability. Together, we aim to empower our industry to be more sustainable, creating innovative solutions that benefit society and the planet.

Join us for the EPIC meeting on Measuring Sustainability Actions, where we will look at different ways companies can track and understand their sustainability progress. A software provider will present a tool that helps simplify the monitoring of sustainability actions. After that, one or two EPIC members will share how they are currently measuring their sustainability efforts — whether through software, internal processes, or simple tracking methods. The session will encourage an open discussion on what works well, what is challenging, and what companies need at different stages of their sustainability journey. Participants will gain practical insight into how both digital solutions and straightforward approaches can help bring more clarity and structure to measuring sustainability actions in the photonics industry.

Event is dedicated to the EPIC members only.
