This specialized EPIC meet-up on “Advanced imaging and sensing technologies for detection, recognition and identification” will be focus on the advancements and challenges in deploying imaging and sensing technologies in defense contexts. Participants will delve into topics such as multispectral detection, 3D LIDAR mapping, and the integration of sensor networks, emphasizing their role in surveillance, navigation, and target DRI across varied and challenging environments, whether terrestrial, aerial, or subsea. Applications and use-cases to be explored include navigating through obscure terrains, enabling autonomous operations in hostile territories, and enhancing real-time battlefield awareness.
