EPIC Workgroup on Sustainable Photonics
Online Event

Climate change is amongst the biggest challenges for humanity in the coming century. Photonics can provide solutions by reducing environmental impacts, harnessing renewable energy, and providing novel measurement techniques for monitoring technologies. Within the Workgroup, we want to educate ourselves and improve our understanding of circular design and sustainable production methods. Identification of new green markets and opportunities for growth is within the scope of the work done by our members. Event is dedicated to the EPIC members only.

This will mark the fourth Sustainability Workgroup Meeting of the year. We’ve already identified the United Nations goals to prioritize and we’ve also chosen the chair and co-chairs for the group. Additionally, the topic of Sustainability will be integrated into our annual general meeting in April.

In this meeting, our aim is to unveil our objectives and initiatives for 2024. Moreover, we’ve arranged for two speakers who will share insights about sustainability practices at their respective companies.
