About EPIC – European Photonics Industry Consortium

EPIC, the largest Photonics association in the world, is the industry association that promotes the sustainable development of organisations working in the field of photonics. EPIC represents 800 companies across 33 countries. EPIC fosters a vibrant photonics ecosystem by maintaining a strong network and acting as a catalyst and facilitator for technological and commercial advancement. EPIC publishes market and technology reports, organizes technical workshops and B2B roundtables, engages in advocacy and lobbying, European funded projects, education and training activities, standards and roadmaps, pavilions at exhibitions. epic-photonics.com

We are looking for a person with energy and passion for communicating and promoting EPIC and its projects and activities. The EPIC team is composed of 13 highly skilled professionals, everyone is homebased, therefore the employee location is independent as long as you can travel efficiently within Europe. 40-60 days travel per year is expected.

ABOUT THE JOB TASKS

  • Organize participation at exhibitions (registration, logistics, providers, graphics, marketing material)
  • Organize webinars and meetings (contact provider, organize test sessions, send invitations, create promotional material)
  • Manage social media, create content, media marketing campaigns, coordinate marketing design work
  • Organize marketing material (giveaways, leaflets, roll ups, t-shirts) for technology events, business events, networking events, European funded projects
  • Be responsible for the Dissemination and Communication package of EU funded research projects, including budget, presenting the results of the work at the relevant meetings.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are a seasoned professional who has worked in an international environment on topics such as marketing, communications, public relations, media, events, …
  • You love to switch between strategic, tactical and operational tasks and responsibilities: as we have a small team, a hands-on attitude is required
  • You are a typical self-starter, for example you have proven track record as an independent contractor or have worked for SME sized companies
  • You master the English language, French/German a plus
