Photonics is the backbone of quantum technologies, from single-photon sources and integrated photonic circuits to ultra-low-loss fiber links, detectors, and lasers. By 2026, the priority will be scalable manufacturing, hybrid integration, cryogenic compatibility, and supply chain readiness to move quantum from lab prototypes to deployable products. This meeting will address the challenges and opportunities in building reliable, manufacturable photonic platforms for quantum communication, sensing, and computing.

Hosted by Fraunhofer HHI in Berlin, the event will connect system developers, component suppliers, and end-users to discuss real industrial needs, technology gaps, and partnership opportunities. The focus will be on European leadership in quantum photonics, fostering collaborations that can accelerate commercialization and strengthen the competitiveness of the European supply chain.
